1. About these terms

This website is operated by Jack Elliott, a sole proprietor carrying on business as Adaptive Path Support Services (“Adaptive Path,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms describe the conditions that apply to use of adaptivepathsupportservices.com and its website features. Please do not use a feature if you do not agree with the terms presented for that feature. Where express acceptance is required, a separate confirmation may be requested.

2. General information only

Website content provides general information about Adaptive Path and the community-based support services we may offer. It is not professional or emergency advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

The website, booking system, email, and contact forms are not continuously monitored and are not crisis services. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service if someone may be in immediate danger. In Canada, call or text 988 for suicide-crisis support.

3. No client relationship from website use

Visiting the website, sending an inquiry, joining the newsletter, booking a consultation, or receiving an automated confirmation does not create a service-provider–client relationship and does not require Adaptive Path to accept an engagement. A consultation booking reserves only the consultation. The advertised initial consultation is free unless a different arrangement is clearly disclosed and accepted beforehand.

Services begin only after Adaptive Path has accepted the engagement and the required service agreement and applicable intake or authorization forms have been completed. If these Terms conflict with a signed client service agreement about client services, the signed agreement governs that issue; these Terms continue to govern website use. The absence of a service-provider–client relationship does not reduce Adaptive Path’s privacy obligations for information received before an engagement.

4. Bookings and communications

You agree to provide accurate information when using website forms or booking tools. Please do not use them for emergencies or include sensitive personal information that is not reasonably necessary for the request. Adaptive Path may confirm, decline, reschedule, or cancel a consultation when reasonably necessary.

If you submit information about another person, including a client under 19, you confirm that you are the person’s parent, legal guardian, or otherwise lawfully authorized to provide it, and that the information is accurate and relevant to the request. Website information may otherwise be viewed without submitting personal information.

Service fees, cancellation charges, transportation, funding, and other client-specific terms are governed by the signed service agreement and related service documents, not these Website Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with its operation or security, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit information you know is false or misleading, or collect personal information from the website without lawful authority.

6. Third-party services and links

The website may use embedded or linked third-party services for hosting, appointment scheduling, forms, newsletters, or other features. Independent external sites may have their own terms and privacy practices. Providers that process information for Adaptive Path are addressed in our Privacy Policy. Adaptive Path does not endorse independent third-party content merely by linking to it, and nothing in this section excludes Adaptive Path’s own responsibilities under applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise identified, website text, branding, graphics, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Jack Elliott operating as Adaptive Path Support Services. You may view the website and print reasonable portions of written information for personal reference. No permission is granted to download, reproduce, reuse, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit a person’s image, recording, testimonial, logo, or other website material unless expressly stated or approved in writing. Third-party names, marks, and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms limits a use permitted by law, including applicable fair-dealing rights.

8. Accuracy and availability

Adaptive Path makes reasonable efforts to keep website information useful and current, but does not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, error-free, or continuously available. No internet system can be guaranteed absolutely secure; Adaptive Path nevertheless uses reasonable safeguards and remains responsible for its obligations under applicable privacy law. Information, website features, and general service descriptions may be changed or removed. Website content does not guarantee that a particular service is available, appropriate, funded, or capable of producing a particular outcome.

We aim to improve the accessibility of this website and welcome reports of barriers. If you have difficulty accessing information, contact us and we will try to provide it in another reasonably available format.

9. Privacy

Adaptive Path handles personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law and our Privacy Policy. Please review that policy for information about collection, use, disclosure, safeguards, access, correction, and third-party service providers.

10. Rights that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer, privacy, accessibility, or other right, remedy, or responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes and governing law

Adaptive Path may update these Terms for future website use by posting a revised version and effective date. An update to these Website Terms does not amend an existing signed client service agreement. These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory rights or laws that apply.
